A long awaited blog post about everything that's been happening in the Lilly Avalon world

Hello Lovelies!

I have been absent for way way way too long and I have so much stuff to fill you in on it's crazy! I'm going to break everything down into sections so that I don't forget anything important.

All books are off Kindle Unlimited

I had the above 5 books available only on Kindle Unlimited for 3 months as a test. I wanted to see if KU really has its advantages, and while it was nice to run sales on each of the books to give my readers discounts and
freebies, it wasn't as beneficial as I expected it to be. I've done KU before and had pretty much the same results, but since I see so many other authors using it with success, I thought I'd give it a go one last time.

So, all of them are now available on all e-retailers again. Here are the links to all of them:

RESIST:  Amazon | B&NKobo | iBooks | Smashwords
LONGING:  Amazon | B&NKobo | iBooks | Smashwords
MORE THAN WORDS:  Amazon | B&N | Kobo | iBooks | Smashwords
UNEXPECTED:  Amazon | B&N | Kobo | iBooks | Smashwords
CAN'T STAY AWAY:  Amazon | B&N | Kobo | iBooks | Smashwords

MTW is now permanently free

After much debate (okay, not really that much debate), I decided to put More Than Words as a free book. I've run promotions on KU a couple times, which went well, but I've come to realize that readers don't like to pay 99 cents for a short story or novella. Since More Than Words comes in at about 12,000 words, I didn't want anyone to feel like they didn't get enough bang for their buck. So, it's now free everywhere!

Can't Stay Away and Resist are in paperback!

Now this one I'm super excited about. I haven't been able to get any of my books done in paperback since a year ago when I got Unexpected formatted for it. I had been hoping to get Resist and Longing done earlier this year, but that didn't pan out. Since I'll be attending my very first author event this year, I needed to get at least one or two more made so I could bring more than one book with me. I decided to do Can't Stay Away and Resist for starters. I'm crossing my fingers that I can get Longing and the dual compilation of More Than Words and Here All Along done by the end of this year/early next year.

For now, here are the links where you can purchase each book in paperback:

RESIST:  CreateSpace | Amazon | B&N
CAN'T STAY AWAY:  CreateSpace | Amazon | B&N

The Glass City Author Event in October

I'm super extremely absolutely excited to be attending my first author event! It's in Toledo, Ohio, which is close enough for me to drive to. I'll be bringing copies of Can't Stay Away, Unexpected, and Resist with me, along with boatloads of swag. I'm putting together swag packs just for bloggers, but I'll also have some stuff out on the table for everyone to pick from. If you're interested in getting tickets for this event, here's a link to purchase them. Looks like the VIP tickets are sold out, but there are still all day tickets available. You'll not only get to meet me, but also LOTS of other amazing authors. Please check out the Facebook group to see who else will be in attendance if you're curious.

New Swag!

I don't know WHY it took this long for me to get business cards made, but, hey, better late than never, right? I was in "getting ready for author event" mode one night and designed both the business cards and the bookmarks. Then the next day I designed the stickers. They were kind of a last minute idea of mine to put one quote from each book on a sticker. It took me about half an hour or so to pick out quotes and then type them in, but totally worth it. I'll have the bookmarks and business cards with me at the event, but the stickers I'll only have in limited quantities for those who buy a copy of one or more of my books. I'm probably going to be doing a swag giveaway soon at some point since I've got so many goodies to go around.

Currently writing...

Okay... so this has been a bit of a sore spot for me lately. Ever since I finished writing and revising Can't Stay Away, I haven't been doing much writing at all. I have ideas, LOTS of them, but being able to sit down and actually write them? Nearly impossible. I've been having all sorts of obstacles in my way, plus sometimes my mind feels like mush and I can't focus. I'll probably do a blog post on this at some point in the near future.

I did spend some time recently coming up with names of characters for a story, along with a portion of a first chapter, so I'm going to call that a win. This story, titled Warm Me Up, is a snowed-in type novella. I'm unsure the exact length, but over 10,000 words for sure (possibly closer to 20,000, but we'll see!). I was hoping to have the first draft written by the end of August, but real life got in the way of that. Crossing my fingers that I can get it written by the end of September since I would love to release it later this year/early next year... since it is a winter themed novella after all.

~~~~~
I also want to tell you that I'll be officially announcing my real name soon. I'm currently working on the post especially for this, but thought I'd share these things first since there's just so much happening! I've also got a few posts discussing a couple topics I've been meaning to talk about recently, but haven't had the chance. Something for you to look forward to. *wink wink*
Anyway, I'll talk to you more soon!
