Can you resist Devlin Pierce? Also, Longing news.

Hello lovelies!

I just got back the notes from my editor and I'm finishing the final edits tonight on Resist! You know what that means? It means we're in the homestretch. Resist is coming in less than two weeks. It's so exciting. I'm actually ahead of the game this time around, so I might be able to upload it early to Amazon. I've already been getting some lovely reviews from ARC readers, which, by the way, THANK YOU all for reading and reviewing already. Much love to you all! XOXO

A quick reminder... The Resist Book Blitz sign-ups are closing soon... so if you haven't signed up and you're able to, I would love to have you be part of it. It runs from August 26th-30th.

One last thing, I'm hard at work writing Longing, the sequel to Resist. I'm up to 2,000 words right now... Well, I have a lot more written--the 2,000 words consist of chapter one and the beginning of chapter two. I have plenty of notes and scenes from later in the book written on another file. There's just so much going on in the story that it's hard to keep my focus at times. I would like to aim for 5,000 words a week at this point, and if I can keep that up, I could have the majority of the book written in 10 weeks. So, here's to hoping! Don't worry, though. It will definitely be out by the end of the year.

It's about that time... what time? Time for ARCs!

Resist ARCs are going to be available by the end of this weekend. I'm still waiting on a couple of my betas to get back to me, but once they do and I go through their notes, Resist will be ARC ready for book review bloggers and Goodreads reviewers.

I would just like to note that the ARCs are not final copies. There may be a grammar error or two, or a sentence that doesn't make sense. The ARC you receive will be going through one final read through by my editor before the final draft is complete. So, bear that in mind while you're reading.

I don't think I could be any more excited than I am right now. It's time to share with you the absolutely amazing cover for Resist, designed by Marie Landry. I couldn't be more pleased with it. I want to hug it and squeeze it and pet it.

Resist is still in the middle of edits/revisions but almost ready for betas. I'm getting excited to share it with you guys. It's been a completely fun and amusing time writing and editing. You're going to love Allegra and Devlin.

On what to expect soon... plus the Resist synopsis

I know I don't grace this blog with my presence as much as I should but... well... life always seems to be happening. And words on pages. I've been spending my time plugging away hardcore at Resist, my next book. Writing is a funny thing sometimes. I expected to have Here We Are (the sequel to Here All Along) be the next story I write. But then other characters started to whisper to me, then yell at me until I had to dive into their worlds.

First it was one story idea (titled Unexpected), then Resist came along... and wouldn't stop. Both started out as short stories. Not only short stories, but slightly different stories that developed into something much better... and then something that couldn't be told as a short story. Unexpected has evolved into story that will become a full-length novel, and Resist will be a novella that leads into a full-length sequel titled Longing.

I'm very pleased to finally report that the first draft of Resist is complete! I can't wait to share it with you... once I work out all the minor details of revising and editing, of course. I will be having a cover made soon *crosses fingers* so be on the lookout for that. I have the most perfect picture picked out for it. I'm crossing my fingers (again) that nobody else has used this picture. I have a couple back-ups, but still.

Anyways! On to the point of this...

Since all you really know is the title of the next story, you probably want to know what it's about, right? Well, I'm happy to say that there is a synopsis for it... and here it is!

Resist is going to be approximately 20,000 words, which means it's a novella. I'm aiming for a release date somewhere mid-to-late August (haven't quite picked a day yet, but I will soon).

For everyone curious about Here We Are, the continuation of Hazel and Adrian's love story... Once I finish and publish Resist, it is my next priority. I'm currently working on an outline in between other projects and I'm hoping to have most (if not all) of it mapped out when the end of August comes. I have several scenes noted, and some fully written out. So it's coming along slowly at the moment, but I'll be able to go full speed hopefully very soon. Hazel's been bugging me lately, so, well, she needs to speak!
