My goal for July: To write more regularly

Did I meet my goal?

I've gotten better, that's for sure! Have I written a lot? That all depends on what your definition of "a lot" is. Personally, I feel like I wrote a lot given the fact that I haven't been writing much these last few months. I managed to get 1200 words in, which isn't much in the grand scheme of things, but it's a lot given my motivation has been lacking and I've been dealing with a lot of unexpected issues in real life.

August Goals

I don't have any specific goals yet again, but I do want to get into a routine. My Facebook memories reminded me recently of how back in 2015 I was hitting 1000 words a day in my WIP (which was Can't Stay Away). While I know I can't hit 1000 words a day every day for several days in a row now, I know that if I put my mind to it I can get a routine in place where I'm writing every day, even if it's for 10-15 minutes.

I've set aside My Roommate's Ex for the time being (will return to it at a later date) and I've picked up a Christmas novella I've been wanting to write for a long time. This one has me giddy because it's a short, sweet, steamy, and silly friends-to-lovers romance.

While I would love to get this one written and published for this upcoming holiday season, it's all going to depend on how things go when it comes to some medical issues I'm having. Remember that ovarian cyst I had removed last December? Well, it grew back. It isn't as big (only 2 cm instead of 10 cm), but it will need to be taken care of, as well as removing the ovary that seems to be the issue. I'm going to be seeing my doctor next week, so I should have a better idea of how things will be from now until the end of the year after speaking with her. Please wish me luck!

Love you all lots! Take care, everybody!
